Nature Notes November 25

A lonely looking Wood Mouse found on a path. It looked very sorry for itself so it was moved to the warmth and shelter of a composting pile of brash and garden waste.

3rd Nov: A new one for me which google lens identified as the very aptly named Orange Peel Fungus (Aleuria aurantia).

6th Nov – A number of Wagtails in the yard and around the pond noted.

10th Nov – reports of the Marsh Harrier being in the area which we have yet to spot. Single buzzard is seen daily and a Kestrel is often seen on the end of the barn guttering looking over the grassland for its next meal. A little stowaway next was luckily spotted as we loaded the spruce bundles into a van.
